  • Entry requirements

    You must be 19 years or above with a relevant Level 2 qualification. If you do not have GCSEs in English and/or maths at grade 4 (grade C) or above you will take a formal test in those subjects. ICT skills are essential and you will have a College interview and may also be required to sit an Access test.

  • Who is the course for?

    Access courses are designed for learners who have been out of education for some time and do not have the formal qualifications normally required for entry to further and higher education who want to study computing and progress to university level.

  • Study methods

    Lectures, group work, workshops, assignments, presentations and timed assessments. Students will also be expected to undertake 10-15 hours of individual study.

  • How is the course assessed?

    Assessment for each credit will involve a variety of activities, which include oral presentations, projects essays, practical class work and timed examinations.

  • Where Next – Further Studies

    BTEC Level 4 HNC in Computing at Uxbridge College, an IT-related course or a full or part-time degree.
