Entry requirements
You must be 19 years or above before 1st September with a relevant Level 2 qualification including English and maths.
If you do not possess a Level 2 qualification in English and maths you will be asked to take an entrance test to assess your level. Furthermore, you will also have the option to study GCSE English and maths alongside the programme to enhance your progression in further studies.
Internally progressing students should have a minimum attendance of 85% and an excellent college report. All applicants will be subject to interviews to assess eligibility to study on the programme. -
Who is the course for?
Students returning to education to complete a 1 year foundation programme giving access to university.
Access to HE courses are intended for mature students who have been out of education for some time. This generally means that students should be at least 19 when they start the course.
Universities and colleges expect Access to HE applicants to have acquired a certain amount of life experience before they start an Access to HE course, so applicants who have only recently left school may be advised to follow a different route into higher education. -

A variety of modes of delivery are used including:

How is the course assessed?
There will be a variety of assessment methods for each unit in order to achieve credits, and there will be some time constrained tests or examinations in some of the units.

Once completed further study at university, students can go into employment in the business sector.

Successful students can go on to study a BTEC Level 4 HNC/Level 5 HND in Business at Uxbridge College or a full or part-time degree at most UK universities.
