Support is available at our Uxbridge and Hayes campuses for deaf and hard-of-hearing students on mainstream courses.
A team of professional and qualified Communication Support Workers will support you on your course and ensure you don’t miss out.
They are all fluent in British Sign Language (BSL) and can help with note-taking.
Other services include:
One-to-one lessons with one of our communication support workers
Extra time and special arrangement for exams
Translation to British Sign Language
Literacy support
The team also provides support to staff to help them meet the needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
