Entry requirements
Applicants must have a Level 1 in English and maths along with a good level of IT skills. Learners are also expected to pass an entry test at the time of enrolment. You must also have an interest in accounting or preferably be working in accounting, but this is not essential.

Who is the course for?
Students who wish to gain a professional qualification and are aiming to be employed in an accounting or financial environment.

Study methods
The aim is to provide a good theoretical understanding of bookkeeping and accounts, and to reinforce learning with simulated workplace assignments. In addition to College attendance, students must be prepared to commit to at least fifteen hours study time per week.

There is a computer based exam for 1 unit.

Once enrolled, you will be required to register with AAT and pay the student membership fee directly to AAT. Students will also need to buy their own books – the tutor will give you details. Resits exam are also chargeable.
