Ultra Electronics Sonar Systems have joined the roll of honour as Uxbridge College’s latest Employer Champions.

Ross Parsell, MD of Ultra Electronics Sonar Systems, was presented with an Employer Champion certificate in recognition of the company’s support for work-related education and training at the College. He was also joined by the company’s Engineering Director, Matthew Breach, and Senior HR Business Partner Katy James.

Lorraine Collins, Executive Director Enterprise and Development, said: “It is a real privilege to have Ultra Electronics on board as part of our Employer Champion scheme – and to see them on our champions’ ‘Wall of Fame’ prominently displayed in our Reception at the Uxbridge campus. The College works with over 1,500 employers and invites a select group to become our Employer Champions representing different sectors. The company joins 14 others who have shown a solid commitment to supporting employment related training and education in West London. As one of many employers who took part in Work Week, Ultra helped play a key part in the success of the event which provided a broad range of work-related experiences for our students.”

Ross Parsell, Managing Director of Ultra Electronics Sonar Systems commented: “Ultra are proud to join the roll of honour as an Employer Champion at Uxbridge College. We look forward to a long and fruitful association as we demonstrate our commitment in supporting students through work experience and development.”

The presentation took place during Work Week, a series of events held in partnership with West London professionals from sectors such as law, finance, travel, computing, and the energy industry, as well as public and voluntary organisations. Opportunities for students included employer talks, a CV clinic, interview practice, the networking business breakfast, and a recruitment fair.
